They're long, roomy and luxurious. But when it comes to limousines, there are differences in the types of vehicles as well as in the policies of rental firms.
When you start looking for wedding day transportation, begin by doing some research. Friends who have recently married are good sources. As are the other wedding professionals you are working with such as your caterer or DJ. And don't overlook the Better Business Bureau to see whether there are any complaints against the companies that you're considering.
Once you narrow down the list of rental companies, compare the vehicles each has to offer with what you want and need. Ask about the size, color and amenities that their vehicles include. If there are certain "extras" you absolutely must have -- such as champagne, flowers or a bar -- be sure to inquire about costs and availability.
In case of any unforeseen problems, such as bad weather or a flat tire, do double check the company's policies on returning your deposit, minimum hours required and whether an overtime rate is available.
